Launched! Beit Issie Shapiro’s Global Professional Advisory Committee

We are thrilled to have launched Beit Issie Shapiro’s Global Professional Advisory Committee comprised of top professionals and academics. The Committee, chaired by Prof. Michael Stein, Executive Director of the Harvard Law School Project on Disability, will play a pivotal role in further developing Beit Issie Shapiro’s vision and future directions.

In the past few decades, there have been leaps in the development of knowledge in the field of disabilities – paradigms have shifted, perceptions have changed, technology advanced, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), legislation and more – all of which have had a great impact on the field. These changes, while opening a world of possibilities, also bring challenges and dilemmas which many organizations around the world face today.

Addressing these challenges, sharing insights, knowledge and dilemmas across borders, can be very helpful in not only making our local services and activities more effective and impactful, but also joining forces to develop solutions for universal needs.

The Global Committee will assist Beit Issie Shapiro to further its vision and activities; remain in the forefront of knowledge in the field; continue to be innovative and entrepreneurial; and assist building partnerships with organizations with a common professional agenda.

We thank our Committee members: Prof. Michael Stein, Ms. Venus Ilagan, Mr. Ari Neeman, and Adv. David Lepofsky.
