On a stunning September Miami evening at the Bal Harbour home of Orly and Shlomy Alexander, major donors were honored at a bayside cocktail reception and dinner. “It’s an organization that has a worldwide reputation of dealing with children with special needs and providing a quality of life for those children who would not receive what Beit Issie has provided,” said Norman Braman, Florida Major Gifts Chair, who gave a heartfelt dedication for Beit Issie. “It’s a school that specializes in dealing with children born with disabilities. They’ve revolutionized the care for these children. When you see the families, and how they interact with Beit Issie, and the quality of life that is provided to these children – it’s the most moving thing that you can see.”

Acqualina Barbecue
On September 15th, over 150 people gathered for Florida’s second annual Family BBQ at the Acqualina Resort and Spa on the Beach. Participants enjoyed games and activities for all ages. The event’s proceeds went toward the treatments of Yaara, one of the special children at Beit Issie Shapiro. The event was chaired by Laura and John Bussel, Rachel and Brett Friedland, Sandrine and Joel Matus, and Nicola Trump and Mark Roth.
